General Hospital fans welcome Adrian Anchondo to the Port Charles scene on Thursday, March 13 when the actor debuts as a mysterious new lawyer in town.
A New Love For Lucas?

Adrian Anchondo has been cast in the contract role of Marco, someone who is slated to have some fascinating encounters with Lucas. According to TV Insider, Anchondo screen-tested with Van Hansis, who plays Lucas. That indicates that Lucas’ encounter with Brad last week may have been the true end to their relationship after all these years. Anchondo and Hansis even knew each other, so the audition process went smoothly.
“Van and I met each other at Williamstown Theater Festival 20 years ago,” Anchondo told TV Insider. “I think we did a play with each other. It’s funny because I remember having a little crush on him back then, and we’ve been in the same circles because we have mutual friends. So, I felt totally comfortable. Van is a very comfortable person to be around, regardless if you’ve known him for 20 years or not.”
While we don’t know much about Marco and what his role will be on the GH canvas, Anchondo offered some insight into the new character.
“The character has been very sweet and charming, and, of course, it wouldn’t be a soap opera without dark secrets somewhere,” he hinted. “He’s also very intelligent and very articulate, which is kind of the opposite of who I am as a person. I don’t find myself to be the most articulate person [laughs]. I don’t think I’ve ever played a lawyer.”
Clearly, someone in town is going to need a lawyer who is not Alexis, Diane, or Marty, so who will Marco be working for? Stay tuned to find out.
