On the Tuesday, April 1, 2025, episode of General Hospital, spoilers reveal a day of emotions and tears in Port Charles as our favorite gather at GH to honor Monica Quartermaine.

The dedication of the new Monica Quartermaine Cardiac Center airs on the same day as the soap’s 62nd anniversary on the air, which is now the 62nd anniversary of when GH opened its doors in Port Charles.
According to Executive Producer Frank Valentini, we will be introduced to a brand-new atrium-like set, but the real heart comes with Laura (Genie Francis) and Sonny (Maurice Benard) gathering friends, family, and other important PC residents, including hospital board member Tracy.
Valentini previews another episode honoring Monica and Leslie Charleson to air in the near future, but says the April 1 episode will also remember other past characters and actors who have left us over the last few years, like Bobbie (Jacklyn Zeman) and Epiphany (Sonya Eddy).
“There’s more tribute to come for Monica,” Valentini told Variety. “But the opportunity presented itself that we would have the anniversary of the hospital be on the anniversary of the show. So it’s a little meta, but I think it’s great. And then to give the hospital a reason to celebrate, that’s how we came up with the the new wing for Monica, which is a really beautiful set. It’s pretty incredible.”
“As much as we always want to go boldly into the future, I think you can’t go into the future without understanding where you’ve come from, or what the past has taught you,” he added.
Expect some tearjerking scenes and plenty of flashbacks as General Hospital (the soap and the hospital) turn 62 years old.
