It’s been years since General Hospital’s Lucas and Brad broke up and we recently learned Lucas has kept himself out of the dating pool — until now.
Lucas is Ready for Love Again
After letting himself believe that he and Brad still had a chance, Lucas was devastated to realize that Brad had never changed, or at least he hadn’t changed enough. Brad still does underhanded things where he sees fit because it’s just who he is.
Lucas was so devastated that he got drunk — make that extremely drunk — and met a man in a Miami hotel bar that he took back to his room. Things got more embarrassing for Lucas when he learned he puked all over himself and this man, meaning nothing really happened, but at least Lucas has his number.
Soon, this man will show up in Port Charles, as he is presumably Natalia and Sidwell’s son, so he has connections to the town. For actor Van Hansis, this is a dream come true because he knows soaps are all about romance.
“I’m so excited about it and I’m looking forward to it so much,” Hansis told Soap Opera Digest. “What I really like about daytime in general, but I think specifically, General Hospital, is that Lucas is so tied into so many different stories and families and I get to work with so many different people and get to do so many different types of things — I do doctor stuff one day, and then the next day I’m yelling at Willow, and the day after that I get to be drunk and puking on people [laughs]. And now, getting to play a love story, there’s just so much variance in what I get to do that I get really excited when I get a new script and find out what’s happening next. But romance, especially, is such an important part of daytime.”
Perhaps dating the son of a criminal mastermind can teach Lucas that sometimes people come with flaws and shades of grey you have to understand. So, what would that mean for Brad? Keep watching and find out.
