Sidwell seems to be everywhere on General Hospital these days as he looks like the new big bad in town, replacing Cyrus as the menace everyone is on the lookout for. Like Cyrus, is Sidwell also related to longtime GH characters?
Sidwell and Wyndemere
It seemed strange that Sidwell (Carlo Rota) would choose Wyndemere as his new home in Port Charles and then make himself so comfortable there. So far, only Cassadines have lived there, so many fans have wondered if Sidwell could be a Cassadine. He also seems oddly interested in Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn). Seeing the dagger that Helena used to kill her mother was as unnerving for the audience as it was for Alexis, but is there more to the story than meets the eye?
Just as Sidwell arrived in town, the Cassadine estate became a topic of conversation again as Ava (Maura West) lost everything she got from Nikolas (Adam Huss) in the divorce. Everything went to Ace, much to Laura (Genie Francis) and Alexis’ chagrin, but why?
Sidwell and Esme?
Instead of being a Cassadine, could Sidwell have a connection to Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl)? Is that why Ace now has everything that Ava had and Sidwell wants to live in the castle where Esme was held hostage and gave birth to the child? We still don’t know too much about Esme’s past, nor where Esme was when she was presumed dead the first time.
It’s clear Sidwell has a connection to Spoon Island and Wyndemere, but it could be one that shocks us all in the end. Who is he really and why did he choose Port Charles as his new place to be a menace? It can’t really all be about Sonny, can it?
