Study after study indicates the benefits of deep meditation on a person’s life. From helping them to calm down to enabling super powered genius learning, meditation is one of the fastest-growing methods to heal the body’s physical, spiritual and emotional states. However, you do not have to be an expert to do it effectively. By allowing sound to help, individuals can see a significant improvement in their ability to enter into a deep meditative state. That can allow the individual to achieve amazing results without really having to spend time learning how to meditate.
How Does Sound Matter?
The brain’s electrical waves control virtually every function in that brain. These waves determine your thoughts, emotions and resonance of your body’s energy vibration. When you are stressed and anxious, the brainwaves are significantly different than when you feel at ease and relaxed. What sound can do is quite astonishing and it is proven through years of scientific study.
Researchers learned that sound effects the way that the brain works. If you were having a normal day, going about your business, and listening to music, the beats and other sounds in the music alter the way you feel. This is why songs can make a person cry or can trigger an improvement in their mood. Sounds contribute to your moods significantly. If you use a combination of sound in just the right way, the brain is encouraged to do amazing things, including entering a meditative state.
Knowing how sound affects the brain is only one step. Knowing how to take sound and use it in the proper way to get a desired result is another. That is where brain entrainment comes into play. This is the process of using very specific sound technology to create changes in the brainwaves to enter into a different frequency. Different frequencies mean different feelings, moods, and states of consciousness.
Brainwave synchronization, as it is often called, uses sound to change the brainwaves in an effort to create a specific outcome. Commonly, there are three main methods to doing this.
Binaural Beats – In this method, two tones that are close in frequency are used. One sound enters one ear while other sound enters the other ear. The brain produces a pulse that combines these two tones into one. This can help to improve medical conditions and make significant differences in the way a person meditates.
Monaural Beats – This is similar but the production of the effect occurs in the ears rather than in the brain. The brain tries to locate the sound. Though this method does not require the use of earphones, their use usually improves the outcome.
Isochronic Tones – A third option, which is less often used, is isochronic tones. Here, the tones are evenly spaced and come on and off quickly. There is no combination of the tones as in the other examples.
What Difference Does It Make?
The use of brainwave entrainment can enable an individual to enter into a deeper meditative state than most people are able to enter into. In fact, even those with years of experience in traditional meditation may never be able to achieve this. However, when this method is used, sound is able to allow an individual to meditate deeply after seven to ten minutes of use.
In doing so, various changes can occur, based on what the individual’s needs are. This includes reducing stress, encouraging relaxation, developing healing for the body, improving intelligence, enabling deep sleep and much more. Sound, as it would seem, is one of the most effective methods available for those who wish to enter into a deep level of consciousness so they can accomplish their dreams and aspirations.
