February 24, 2025, is a momentous day in the life of daytime dramas as the first new daily soap to premiere in more than 25 years makes its debut. Beyond the Gates is ready to take the soap world by storm.
Welcome to Fairmont Crest

Beyond the Gates is the brainchild of veteran soap scribe Michele Val Jean, who has been writing soaps since the 1980s and penned some of the most iconic Santa Barbara, General Hospital, and The Bold and the Beautiful scenes ever. When GH’s Brenda married Jax at the same moment Lily got into Sonny’s exploding car, that was Val Jean at work. Val Jean is producing BTG in conjunction with CBS, P&G Studios, and the NAACP.
Meet the Duprees

Beyond the Gates centers around the wealthy Dupree family living in an exclusive gated community in the DC-Maryland suburbs. Clifton Davis plays patriarch Vernon Dupree, a retired congressman who is still a DC power player.
Vernon’s wife is former singer Anita Dupress, who rules the roost with an iron fist. Played by soap opera veteran Tamara Tunie, Anita is a matriarch who grew up with nothing but now has everything she’s ever wanted—materially, at least.
Vernon and Anita’s two daughters seem to also have it all but Karla Mosley’s Dani Dupress just learned her ex-husband is ready to marry the much younger woman he left her for. Daphne Duplaix’s Nicole Dupree appears to have a much happier life, but looks can definitely be deceiving.
We also meet Nicole and Dani’s young and ambitious daughters, as well as a host of other characters who live within the gates of Fairmont Crest and beyond.
Airing right after The Bold and the Beautiful at 2 PM EST on CBS, Beyond the Gates is poised to change the world of daytime soaps forever.
