General Hospital fans were stunned this week when Emma Scorpio-Drake returned to Port Charles with a brand-new face and brand-new attitude.
Brooklyn Rae Silzer Grew Up On GH
Since 2011, Brooklyn Rae Silzer has been the face of Emma Drake, but now all that has changed. She was only five years old when she began her GH tenure and stopped appearing regularly at age 10 in 2026.
The last time we saw Silzer as Emma was in 2023 when the character returned to spend Thanksgiving with her grandparents, Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes). At the time, we learned she was a college student studying abroad.
Silzer Wishes the New Emma Best of Luck
On Monday, Braedyn Bruner appeared in the role for the first time. At first, she was just a mystery girl who had stolen a wallet and had Gio (Giovanni Mazza) cover for her in Rice Plaza. Later, she showed up at Maxie’s (Kirsten Storms) house as the surprise Anna was waiting for.
That night, Silzer released the following statement on X (formerly Twitter).
“To my amazing General Hospital family who have supported me and watched me grow up over the years as Emma I am forever grateful,” she wrote. “Although sad my time as Emma has come to an end I will cherish all of my memories and friendships made. I am so lucky to have been cast as Emma 13 years ago and to have had the opportunity to grow her character over the years. I am so excited to see how Braedyn takes care of Emma and brings new layers to her character,” she added of 24-year-old Bruner. “I am forever thankful for General Hospital and Emma will always hold a special place in my heart. A little note to my @GeneralHospital family and fans who have loved me over the years.”
