On the Friday, January 10, 2025, episode of General Hospital, Michael’s life was on the line again as Cyrus decided the man should no longer be in pain.
Michael’s Pain
Portia (Brook Kerr) explained to Jason (Steve Burton) that Michael (Chad Duell) would have to be heavily sedated and unconscious for days due to the pain from the burns. She said that was the best thing for him and Jason understood. Jason was later surprised to see Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) at the hospital after Felicia (Kristina Wagner) told her what had happened to Michael.
Sasha told Jason that she and Michael never really had a proper breakup. She never even meant to break up with him and everything just happened due to her plan to help Willow and Michael get custody of Wiley. She still loved him deep down and it hurt her to see Michael in such pain. Jason offered to drive Sasha home. He saw what a hot mess she was and she agreed that she shouldn’t have been driving.
Carly’s Introspection
After Drew (Cameron Mathison) accused Carly (Laura Wright) of being responsible for what happened to Michael, she told him to leave her alone and couldn’t believe he would go there when Carly was suffering so much because her son could die. Drew finally left but Carly wasn’t alone for long. When Sonny (Maurice Benard) showed up, she asked him if what Drew said was true. Was this her fault?
Sonny didn’t want to dwell on the past and only wanted to focus on what was best for Michael at that very moment. He told her that their greatest accomplishment was their children and they were going to do everything they could for Michael.
Willow Freaks Out
Josslyn (Eden McCoy) continued reading Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) for filth, but Nina (Cynthia Watros) happened upon the scene and stopped her. Nina then took Willow aside and told her that Carly had gotten a court order and Diane (Carolyn Hennesy) had come along to take Wiley and Amelia. As Willow heard the news, Drew got off the elevator. She ran straight to him and asked him to help her get her kids back.
They went into an office to discuss the matter. Nina told Willow she had to abide by the court order, but Drew wanted Willow to use Michael’s medical proxy status as leverage. She could forbid Michael’s family to see him. Willow didn’t want to do it, but Drew made her feel like she had no choice. As Sonny and Carly asked Portia about a burn center for Michael, Willow came along and told them that would be her decision.
Little did they know that Cyrus (Jeff Kober) had snuck into Michael’s room. He wanted to put Michael out of his pain and injected Digitalis into his IV.
Brennan and Felicia Help
Brennan (Charles Mesure) told Colette that it was clear that a WSB weapon had been used in Sonny’s apartment and they needed to know where it came from. He also informed his deputy that he knew who stabbed Dex (Evan Hofer) and was going to give Josslyn breadcrumbs to lead her to the culprit.
Brennan later found Joss and gave her the Rice Plaza witness list. She found Felicia’s name on it and questioned her. Felicia suddenly remembered Cyrus there ringing his bell, but the bell stopped when Dex went to empty the college students’ alcohol.
Ava’s Money
Ava (Maura West) had another case for Ric (Rick Hearst). Get her money back from the Cassasdines. Ric told her that would be legally impossible. The only way she could get that cash was if Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) wanted to give it to her as a gift. He pointed out the unlikelihood of that considering that Ava had Alexis disbarred and was there when Kristina fell out the window.
However, Ava refused to give up. She had her own money but also just bought a new building for the gallery and was now paying a mortgage on two commercial buildings when she could only afford one. So, Ric approached Alexis’ table and asked him to kindly give the money back to Ava. She laughed in his face and told him that would not be happening…ever.
