On the Monday, January 13, 2025, episode of General Hospital, Isaiah deduced what was going on with Michael and saved the day.
It’s Always Digitalis
When the nurses heard the alarms going off in Michael’s room, they quickly got Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) and Lucas (Van Hansis) on the scene. The doctors noticed Michael (Chad Duell) was going into cardiac arrest, so Isaiah suggested giving him a new medication. Lucas immediately knew it would counteract Digitalis and wondered if Isaiah was onto something. Isaiah said Michael would die if they did nothing, so they may as well try.
Just as Isaiah expected, the new med worked and Michael’s heart stabilized. That was when Lucas and Isaiah knew for sure that there had to be a killer on the loose in the hospital.
While Lucas and Isaiah saved Michael’s life, Portia (Brook Kerr) asked Brad (Parry Shen) to do a little digging and find every patient who had died from cardiac arrest over the last three months. She also wanted to know if Digitalis was in their system and if so, she needed to learn if they were prescribed the med. Brad knew something serious was going on and agreed to do what Portia asked.
Later, Portia was shocked when Isaiah told her what happened with Michael. He was sure there was someone wandering the hospital killing patients with Digitalis and thought it was time they went to the police with what they knew.
Nina Brokers A Compromise
Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Carly (Laura Wright) were stunned to hear Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) announce she would be in charge of Michael’s medical care and asked Portia to come to her with any updates on Michael. She wasn’t even going to let Michael’s parents see him. Sonny asked Willow what she wanted but Drew (Cameron Mathison) answered for her and told Carly and Sonny to give Willow her kids back.
Nina (Cynthia Watros) took Sonny aside and made an appeal to his good senses. Wiley and Amelia were scared and had no idea what happened to Michael. They needed their mother to explain it to them and care for them while their father couldn’t. Sonny understood and agreed with Nina.
On the other end of the hospital hall, Carly tried to reason with Willow but Drew refused to shut his mouth and kept getting involved. He even accused Carly of emotionally blackmailing Willow. Carly shot back and told Willow that Drew was the one manipulating her so that she would feel she could only depend on him.
Carly was proven right when Nina and Sonny announced they had reached a compromise and Willow thanked Drew when he had nothing to do with it. Nina looked on in disgust and amazement.
Lulu Returned Home
Laura (Genie Francis) was happy to see Lulu (Alexa Havins) back in Port Charles but blasted her for taking off to Prague on her own after just emerging from a coma and undergoing a transplant. Lulu claimed she took her meds, but blamed Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) for her not being able to bring Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez) home.
Lulu then wondered if Dante was right. Was she the one who led the gunman to Valentin (James Patrick Stuart)? She took his harsh words to heart and even wondered if Sam (Kelly Monaco) would have done the same for her kids.
All Around Port Charles
Tracy (Jane Elliot) nearly lost it when Cody (Josh Kelly) told her that he planned to invest the $50K he got from Drew in crypto. He needed money fast so that he could buy Serenity. Tracy advised Cody to leave the crypto idea alone. Later, Cody ran into Trina (Tabyana Ali) and Kai (Jens Austin Astrup) at the Aurora Wellness Center and got a tip on the PCU game. He then went to Brad and asked him to connect him to Selina (Lydia Look) so he could place a bet.
Kai and Trina had some close moments together when Kai told Trina that he was considering putting his name in for the NFL draft. He wanted to finish college but knew that he could risk an injury during his senior year.
And finally, Tracy and Stella (Vernee Watson) caught up over some tea and smoothies. Tracy was worried about Monica. She was the heart of the family and Tracy didn’t know if Monica (the late Leslie Charleson) would survive if something happened to Michael.
