On the Thursday, January 2, 2025, episode of General Hospital, Sonny’s life is saved, but that doesn’t mean it was not still on the line.
Isaiah to the Rescue
Thankfully for Sonny (Maurice Benard), Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) was still in the locker room when he collapsed. He walked back into the gym to find Sonny lying on the bottom of the boxing ring and called 911 for help. The paramedics were able to get Sonny’s heart rate back to normal, but he refused to go to the hospital for fear that his enemies would see him as weak.
Isaiah asked Sonny if he had felt the same pain before. Sonny admitted he had on Christmas Eve. He was also forced to admit he had been shot in the chest 20 years ago and his heart had stopped. Isaiah warned Sonny he had a ticking time bomb in his chest and that he could have a stroke or heart attack at any time. However, if he got proper treatment from a cardiologist he could live a long and healthy life. Sonny had a whole lot to think about.
Lulu and Valentin’s Fury
Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) was enraged believing Lulu (Alexa Havins) had lied to him and brought Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) with her to Prague. Dante insisted he had come alone and just wanted Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez). He wasn’t there to arrest Dante. Just as Lulu thought they were getting through to Valentin, shots rang out. During the mayhem, Valentin managed to escape with Charlotte.
Dante and Lulu tried using the tracking device that Lulu had placed in Charlotte’s bag to find them, but Valentin apparently found it first and dropped it on a plant. When Lulu and Dante returned to the cafe, she raged at him for ruining her one last chance to bring Charlotte home.
Michael Gets Big News, Willow Gets an Invite
Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) popped into Michael’s (Chad Duell) office at his request. He told her that he was gearing up for a custody battle with Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) and didn’t want to bring her affair with Drew (Cameron Mathison) into it. That meant he didn’t want to bring his one night with Sasha into it either. She needed to swear she would tell nobody.
Sasha assured Michael that she would keep her mouth shut and informed him that she was leaving town. Michael was shocked but even more shocked when Sasha informed Michael that she was pregnant with his child. To add to Michael’s surprise, Sasha explained that she didn’t want him in the baby’s life because of his mob connections.
Raising a Corinthos and a Quartermaine was not something Sasha wanted to do for her baby’s safety and Michael agreed to abide by her wishes.
At the hospital, Drew stalked Willow again but she didn’t seem to care. He even invited her to his swearing-in ceremony in DC. Willow turned him down at first because she didn’t want a scandal. Drew said it wouldn’t be the same if she wasn’t there and even encouraged her to bring Wiley so Scout had a friend to play with. Starry-eyed Willow finally agreed.
Alexis Gets The Last Laugh, Brennan Gets Tased
Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) enjoyed watching Ava (Maura West) beg for her Cassadine money, but she wasn’t about to give her any of it. Ava claimed that her miserable marriage entitled her to such a hefty divorce settlement. She was sure that Alexis could find a way to take some of the cash meant for Ace and transfer it to Ava.
Alexis just laughed in Ava’s face and told her that the law was the law and there was nothing she could do about it. She then kicked Ava out of her office.
Finally, Anna (Finola Hughes) stopped by Brennan’s (Charles Mesure) hotel room to talk about Valentin’s whereabouts. Brennan still claimed he knew nothing about them. When Collette called to tell Brennan that Valentin and Charlotte had gotten away, Anna surprised Brennan and tased him.
She then told him the real reason for his visit was to make sure he stayed away from Emma (Braedyn Bruner). She had heard he was talking to her at Bobbie’s. Brennan claimed he had run into her by coincidence, but Anna didn’t buy it and warned Brennan that her granddaughter was off limits.
