On the Friday, January 3, 2024, episode of General Hospital, Valentin tried to do a selfless thing as Lulu lost her mind.
Papa, Can You Hear Me?
Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) managed to get him and Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez) to the outskirts of the city by car where they discussed her visit with Lulu (Alexa Havins). Valentin even had Charlotte believing Lulu had tried to kill him. Valentin assured Charlotte that her mother would do no such thing but thought that she did bring Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) along and someone followed them all the way to Prague.
Valentin also gave Charlotte to option to be with her mother and her friends back in Port Charles if that was what she wanted. Charlotte contemplated it for a bit but then decided to stay with her Papa cause she was all he had. She reasoned that Lulu had Rocco (Finn Carr), Dante, and lots of family so she would be fine without her.
Back at Lulu’s hotel room, Lulu raged at Dante for ruining her chance to be with Charlotte. She was sure Valentin was about to let her go until Dante walked in. Dante told Lulu that she was the one who led the gunman to Valentin so she only had herself to blame for losing them. He begged Lulu to just come home.
When she refused, Dante reminded her that she owed her life to someone who was dead. Sam (Kelly Monaco) died saving her and now Lulu wanted to throw it all away for Charlotte, a girl who wanted to be with her father. Rocco needed her and she didn’t even seem to care.
Sonny’s Dilemma
Jason (Steve Burton) walked into Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) penthouse just as Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) was leaving. Jason was stunned to hear that Isaiah was there as a doctor because Sonny had a heart condition. Sonny was even thinking of leaving his job as the head of their business to take care of himself and asked Jason to take over for good.
Jason was flattered but he couldn’t accept the offer. With Sam dead he was Danny’s (Asher Antonyzyn) only parent. Life was different now and he couldn’t be the head of a crime organization on a regular basis when he had to be there for a teenage boy. That was some serious growth that Jason showed, so Sonnys said they could talk about it all another day.
Michael Begs Sasha
Michael (Chad Duell) agreed to stay out of Sasha’s (Sofia Mattsson) way and not come forward as her baby daddy as long as she stayed in town. He wanted to at least be close to his child. Sasha agreed but would not allow Michael to give her money. She wanted to raise the baby on her own and be independent. Michael respected Sasha’s wishes.
Sasha then visited the hospital to make an OB appointment and ran into Felicia (Kristina Wagner). She ended up telling Felicia she was pregnant and assured her that Cody (Josh Kelly) was NOT the father, but refused to tell her who the father was. Felicia accepted that and even offered to be Sasha’s emergency contact on her medical forms. Sasha was grateful to finally have a family.
Curtis Hands Out Advice To Nina
Nina (Cynthia Watros) barged into Curtis’ (Donnell Turner) office to vent about Drew and Willow (Katelyn MacMullen). Curtis was shocked to hear that Willow went to DC with Drew and took Wiley with her. Nina wondered what had come over Drew. He had to know this would be a very public event and didn’t even care that it would cause a scandal. Curtis admitted that Drew wasn’t always like this, but this is who he was now. He was an unlikable man who only thought of himself.
Curtis tried to get Nina to see that she had to tell Willow about her affair with Drew so she’d know what kind of person he really was. Nina couldn’t bring herself to do it. When Michael walked in to talk to Curtis, Nina mentioned where Willow was.
Michael later found a photo of the event and told Diane (Carolyn Hennesy) to use it as part of the custody fight. After all, Willow took their son out of the state without even telling him.
