On the Monday, January 6, 2025, episode of General Hospital, Michael seemed to become a victim of one of Sonny’s mob wars.
Fire At the Penthouse
Micahel (Chad Duell) stopped by Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) just to have someone to talk to. He told him how Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) took Wiley to DC to attend Drew’s (Cameron Mathison) congressional swearing-in ceremony, so he filed for divorce. He also. took Diane’s (Carolyn Hennesy) advice and asked for custody of the kids. He went so far as to call Willow an unfit mother. However, he was just trying to strike a first blow. Michael had every intention of compromising with Willow and going for shared custody in the end.
Michael even analyzed Willow and realized that since leaving Dawn of Day, all she has done is try to mold herself into what she thinks a man wants. He even accepted that she was drawn to him because of Wiley and not because of him. Michael was at a low point but tried to remain optimistic that things would work out.
When Jason (Steve Burton) arrived and took Sonny into the hallway to discuss business, Michael poured himself a drink. Then, he saw a flash of light before an explosion rocked the penthouse. Michael caught fire as Sonny and Jason rushed in to save him.
Willow Freaks Out
In DC, Willow was shocked to receive divorce papers from New York. Michael was trying to take away her children and Willow didn’t know why Michael would be so angry at her for taking their son to DC so she could be with the uncle she cheated on him with. Willow finally deduced that Michael was just trying to get revenge.
She called Marty (Michael E. Knight) and told him about the papers. Marty assured her that no judge would separate a mother and her children. However, that was before he learned Willow was dumb enough to go to DC with Drew and take Michael’s son out of state without his permission.
After Willow hung up, Drew tried to make Michael into the bad guy. He then declared his undying love to a stunned Willow.
As for Carly (Laura Wright), she was incensed when she learned what Willow did and vented to Jason, who told her this was none of his business and she should leave well enough alone.
Finding Valentin
Brennan (Charles Mesure) had a bone to pick with Colette. She went rogue and wasn’t supposed to take a shot at Valentin (James Patrick Stuart). She was only supposed to find him and tail him and now they lost him and Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez). However, he was sure that Charlotte would use her phone again and lead them right to Valentin again. This time, maybe Brennan should go on his own.
Laura (Genie Francis) updated Marty on what happened in Prague. Marty tried to reassure his sister that his old friend would take good care of Charlotte and make sure nothing bad happened to her. Laura still worried for Lulu (Alexa Havins) because she had already missed so much time with her daughter. Marty pointed out that Lulu is quite resilient.
All About Cyrus
After Cyrus (Jeff Kober) tried to have a talk with Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) and asked him what it felt like to play God, Portia (Brook Kerr) stepped in. Brad (Parry Shen) overheard everything and confronted Cyrus for trying to kill Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) several years ago. Lucas pulled Brad away. Portia then told an angry Cyrus that he was no longer allowed in the hospital.
Meanwhile, Josslyn (Eden McCoy) cleaned out Dex’s (Evan Hofer) apartment and found a gun just as Brennan got the footage from Rice Plaza the night Dex was stabbed. He zoomed in and realized it was Cyrus who stabbed Dex. What does he plan to do with this information? As for Joss, she is determined to get to the bottom of who killed her boyfriend.
Sidwell Buys Wyndemere
Lucy (Lynn Herring) welcomed Wyndemere’s new owner, who just happened to be Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota). Sidwell and Lucy flirted for a while as Lucy offered to show Sidwell around Port Charles. After all, she wrote the book on the town. Sidwell was happy to take Lucy up on her offer and even asked her to dinner. After Lucy left, Sidwell gleefully enjoyed his new digs and all it had to offer.
