On the Wednesday, January 8, 2025, episode of General Hospital, Willow and Drew were oblivious to what was going on back home as Michael fought for his life.
Saving Michael
Jason (Steve Burton) and Sonny (Maurice Benard) rushed into the penthouse to find Michael (Chad Duell) on fire screaming for help. Sonny called 911 as Jason found a blanket and calmed the flames that had engulfed Michael. They rushed him to the ER where Lucas (Van Hansis) was horrified to see that his next patient was his nephew. Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) took over for Lucas knowing that Lucas was too close to the situation.
Carly (Laura Wright) was at dinner with Brennan (Charles Mesure) when she heard that the top floor of Sonny’s building was on fire. She made it to the ER with her date and was relieved to see that Sonny and Jason were okay. When she saw the looks on their faces, she knew something else was wrong. After Jason and Sonny told her that Michael was badly hurt and burned, she raged at them for letting Michael get caught in the line of fire.
Willow and Drew Go For it Again
After hearing Drew (Cameron Mathison) tell her that he loved her, Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) had sex with Drew again but this time they at least used a bed. Drew promised to be there for Willow during her custody fight as they had no idea what was going on at home.
Curtis (Donnell Turner) had to talk Nina (Cynthia Watros) out of flying to DC to drag Willow and Wiley home. Instead, he wanted to leak their affair to the press. Nina thought about it but balked because she knew it would just cause Willow more trouble. Portia (Brook Kerr) soon called to tell Curtis about Michael. That prompted Nina to call Willow and tell her stunned daughter what had happened to her husband while she had sex with his uncle.
Joss Gets The News
Josslyn (Eden McCoy) was surprised to see the gun in Dex’s (Evan Hofer) dresser drawer, but Trina (Tabyana Ali) interrupted her thoughts. She hid the gun as Trina insisted that Joss shouldn’t be alone. Joss still got Trina to go home so she could look at the gun again. Just then, Brennan arrived to tell Joss she needed to come with him and be with her mother.
When Josslyn got to the hospital, Lucas reported that Michael had sustained third-degree burns on 40% of his body. He wasn’t sure if Michael would live or die. In the trauma room, Isaiah promised Michael he would take good care of him as Michael struggled to breathe.
Brook Lynn Had a Baby
Chase (Josh Swickard) found a lightheaded Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) in the Quartermaine kitchen and quickly got her some food. She didn’t let on that she was pregnant as she told him about the great time she had at Maxie’s (Kirsten Storms) house over Christmas. Chase said he and Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) didn’t get the one thing they wanted the most. Sasha knew he was talking about a baby.
Chase worried that he was putting pressure on Brook Lynn to get pregnant because Gregory (Gregory Harrison) had wanted that for them so bad, but Sasha assured him that they just had to relax because these things sometimes take time
In the solarium, Lois (Rena Sofer) found Brook Lynn crying about taking another negative pregnancy test. She worried something might be wrong and that she was being punished. Lois and Brook Lynn finally spoke of the teen pregnancy the audience had guessed about. BLQ got pregnant when she was a camp counselor. It was a healthy pregnancy and she gave birth to a healthy baby whom she gave up for adoption.
Like Sasha, Lois assured Brook Lynn that everything would be all right. She would be there for Brook Lynn if she and Chase wanted to undergo fertility testing. She would also support Brook Lynn if the test found any problems. Now, we just have to wonder who Brook Lynn’s baby is. Perhaps he plays the violin…
