General Hospital brought the drama the week of December 16-20, 2024. Some moments were hits, some were misses, and Soap Talks has the rundown on what worked and what didn’t in Port Charles this past week.
Best of GH
Jason Morgan is home and Jason Morgan even considers himself Jason Quartermaine — somehow. Yes, he agreed with Tracy that he is a better Q than his creepy louse of a brother. The news was amazing to Jason and amazing to us. But we know it would be even more amazing for Monica. And yes, we even think we can get on board for Jason and Sasha.
Curtis really stuck it to Drew and he may have even stuck it to Michael considering that Michael may have committed insider trading. Curtis definitely got the last laugh about the man he thought was his best friend. Watching Drew flail about because his precious stock was tanking was fantastic because nobody deserved it more.
Seeing Cam again was both good and bad. It was good because he is desperately needed on the canvas but bad because his visit was way too brief. At least he made his mom happy and Elizabeth’s happiness is what counts.
Worst of GH
Drew the stalker is not a good look. Willow the woman who refuses to go to therapy to deal with being raised in a cult is also not a good look. Together, their relationship seems semi-abusive as Willow looks up to a man who is not creepily obsessed with her and spent months violating her boundaries.
Is Sidwell now GH’s idea of Days of our Lives’ Clyde Weston? Why is he back? He is an inconsequential villain with no real ties to the canvas so his constant reappearance over a few short months is getting old. We already have Cyrus lurking around Port Charles. Do we really need another version?
The Granny Wars are back after a year-long reprieve and all we have to ask is why? Why do we need to see Nina and Carly battling for their two adult children as if they each don’t have a voice of their own? Both women need to sit down and be quiet — especially Carly, who not only yelled in Willow and Nina’s face, but she yelled in Jason’s face for no real reason.
Don’t forget to watch new episodes of General Hospital each weekday on ABC and weeknight on Hulu.
