General Hospital brought the drama the week of December 23-27, 2024. Some moments were hits, some were misses, and Soap Talks has the rundown on what worked and what didn’t in Port Charles this past week.
Best of GH
Lucas said what most of us were thinking when he took Willow to task for betraying her marriage vows and consciously choosing to have sex with Drew on the playroom floor the night Lucas’s sister (and Drew’s ex-wife) Sam died. We cheered him on as he dropped truth bomb after truth bomb that nobody else would ever dare say to pure and perfect Willow.
Admit it, you were choked up when Lulu heard Charlotte’s voice on the phone for the first time in years. We also loved that Brennan was right. A teenager can always lead you to their location via their phone. He knew Charlotte couldn’t keep her whereabouts a secret for long because she was a 16-year-old girl.
Ric and Alexis almost made us forget Ric and Ava. Their Christmas decorating scenes had us in stitches but also had us nostalgic for what was with them all those years ago. Nancy Lee Grahn and Rick Hearst still have it, but so do Maura West and Rick Hearst. What an embarrassment of riches for GH, indeed.
Worst of GH
Let’s face it. Drew and Willow are gross. They seem to have no shame and Willow’s obsession with Drew is borderline insane while Drew’s obsession with Willow is downright creepy. They are not the next super couple and probably the worst pair on this soap right now.
Josslyn’s recovery from Dex’s death seems absolutely miraculous. She smiled brightly for Brennan and didn’t seem to have a care in the world as she and Michael played cards with the WSB agent. So much for Dex being the love of her life.
Lulu’s recovery from her coma and liver transplant is even more miraculous. Sure, we like that she finally connected with Charlotte, but how is a woman who has gone through what Lulu just went through able to just get on a plane and take off for Prague with no issue? Did she even remember to take her anti-rejection meds with her?
