It was a bittersweet week on General Hospital as fans knew that Leslie Charleson had just passed and Monica’s death would be imminent. But the stars aligned for Monica to take center stage this week of all weeks even without being on screen.
Best of GH
Jason chose his mother over Sonny. That was THEE moment GH fans had waited 29 years for. While it would have been so much more amazing had he chosen Monica because Monica touched his face and asked him to, Jane Elliot’s Tracy was the perfect substitute. The acting? Well, absolutely brilliant.
Tracy continued to delight this week when she had her turn with Carly. Tracy did mince words and called Carly out on some harsh truths. Carly has done nothing but make Monica’s life a living hell and the fact that she has spent so much time coming and going in the Q mansion in recent years as if she owned it clearly got to Tracy.
Leave it to Chase to talk some sense into Willow and bring her back to reality. As Sasha said, Chase and Willow’s and Sasha and Michael’s breakups were not organic and were under false pretenses. Since we expect a couple shuffle any day now, could Chase and Willow be on deck in 2025?
Worst of GH
Before Chase got to her, Willow was an absolute pathetic mess. She hung on every word Drew said, allowed him to manipulate her, repeated his thoughts as if they were her own, and was downright cruel. As Nina said, this was not her sweet daughter at all.
Drew is basically out of his mind. By the look on her face, as Drew announced Willow would be Scout’s new Mommy, Alexis felt the same. Drew has lost it and it’s not pretty. His scenes with Alexis were cringe-worthy as we watched Alexis cringe.
So, it turns out that Cody has regressed and is now a gambler again. Why? We still don’t even understand why GH broke up Cody and Sasha, but to see Cody bet it all on a football game we knew he’d lose just so Selina could threaten him again was very ungood.
Don’t forget to watch new episodes of General Hospital each weekday on ABC and weeknight on Hulu.
