General Hospital offered a very soapy and compelling story this week that hit too close to home due to real-life events. Our hearts go out to everyone who lost their homes in the California wildfires this week as GH gave us Chad Duell’s exit story.
Best of GH
Despite what was going on in the world this week, the explosion in Sonny’s apartment was a spectacularly produced sequence, as was the immediate aftermath. It was heartbreaking watching Michael burn the way he did and the aftermath throughout the week offered more than enough soapy drama. It was just hard to watch, due to what was going on in Los Angeles.
Seeing Carly, Josslyn, and Curtis react to Willow and Drew as the two clueless characters wandered into the hospital concerned for Michael was glorious. Curtis hit the nail right on the head when he told Drew that he was the villain in this scenario.
Jason’s introspection since Sam died has been wonderful to see. Our little Jason Morgan who was born in 1997 is finally growing up and sees what his life has led to for the people he loved. He doesn’t want to take over Sonny’s organization. Instead, he wants out.

Kristina made Michael’s plight all about herself, which is nothing new for this character. She can’t lose another sibling. What if she never feels Michael’s hugs again? There was no concern for Michael or his mother or children. Just Kristina.
Willow remains one of the dumbest characters on soaps, if not the dumbest character. This girl actually wondered how things between her and Michael could get so bad so fast right after she had sex with his uncle while Michael was on fire.
Brook Lynn had a baby as a teenager? Really? We never would have guessed. While the scenes between Lois and Brook Lynn were sweet, all we could do was roll our eyes because we knew this was coming.
Don’t forget to watch new episodes of General Hospital each weekday on ABC and weeknight on Hulu.
