The Young and the Restless brought the drama the week of February 17-21, 2025. Some moments were hits, some were misses, and we have the rundown on what worked and what didn’t in Genoa City this past week.
Best of Y&R
While Victor’s revenge plots are getting old, one positive dividend of the latest one is the scenes between Michael and Lauren. These two supporting characters have not had a story of their own in years and that’s a crime. Whenever they are on together and have one-on-one time, we remember why we love them so much.
Claire is starting to show much more of a backbone than she had the past year when trying to get her family to love her. Not only is she sticking up for herself with Grandpa Victor, but she is holding her own with Kyle and not completely capitulating to a man.
We admit it. We are intrigued and want to know more about Audra and Holden’s past. Audra continues to be a fascinating character and it’s about time we learned even more about her.
Worst of Y&R
Victor wants revenge against Jack Abbott again and is going after Jabot. Wake us when it’s over or can we just watch old videos of this on YouTube since it’s been done so many times before?
Phyllis is missing again. Rinse. Repeat. When is Phyllis not missing? Wasn’t she just missing when she was presumed dead? We thought maybe Y&R could wait two whole years before doing this again. Sigh…
Summer is as ridiculous as her grandfather and mother. She ended her marriage to Kyle. She moved on with Chance. And now she wants Kyle back but is loathe to admit it. Maybe she can take her high and mighty attitude and truly move on.
