The Young and the Restless brought the drama the week of January 13-17. Some moments were hits, some were misses, and we have the rundown on what worked and what didn’t in Genoa City this past week.
Best of Y&R
Claire put on a master performance when she encountered Jordan at Crimson Lights and followed her to the park. That’s where she told Jordan everything she wanted to hear and made her crazy aunt believe that she was on her side. The audience didn’t know whether to believe Claire or not…but Jordan sure did.
When Claire relayed what happened to Victoria and Nikki, she also told her mother and grandmother everything they wanted to hear, which also made the audience wonder if she was sincere. Claire also announced she wanted to kill Jordan and she seemed to mean business.
Poor Sharon continued her struggle to escape the hell she’s been in since New Year’s Eve. Since these scenes involve Sharon Case, we had to love them, but they are getting a little old and it’s time for Nick to find her.
Worst of Y&R
How many times does Y&R have to do the same things over again? As many times as Billy? What is he even thinking with a new vendetta for no reason? Why would he even think of going after Adam at this point in his life when Adam is not trying to do anything but mind his own business?
Along those same lines, why are we doing Chelsea and Adam again? They never worked out the other 20 times so why are we circling back again? Obviously, Chelsea moving to the ranch just for Connor’s sake won’t just be for Connor’s sake.
Summer can stuff it. She is the one who divorced Kyle and moved out of the Abbott mansion just because he defended his mother. And how long was she Harrison’s mother? A year? Maybe two? Her obsession with the child who has a mother who should be getting out of prison soon is weird.
Don’t forget to watch new episodes of The Young and the Restless each weekday on CBS and weeknight on Paramount +.
