The Young and the Restless brought the drama the week of January 20-24. Some moments were hits, some were misses, and we have the rundown on what worked and what didn’t in Genoa City this past week.
Best of Y&R
Sharon did it all on her own. After weeks of wondering which man would rescue Sharon, she got herself up, got herself out of that sewer, and rescued herself. That’s the way it should be in 2025. Knowing Sharon did this all on her own made her reunion with Mariah feel all the more special.
Hayley Erin and Colleen Zenk have amazing chemistry together, which made their cat-and-mouse games as Claire and Jordan all the more enjoyable. You never knew when Claire was telling the truth or not. She was VERY convincing, but in the end, she couldn’t convince Jordan.
The Great Victor Newman knowing all and remaining calm is always a sheer delight. His smug attitude is something to behold and can make us laugh every day. Cause he’s Victor Newman.
Worst of Y&R
What the heck is wrong with Tessa that she actually believed that Ian Ward could change after everything Mariah has told her? How could she not trust her wife? Mariah’s fury was justified and we hope Tessa can explain herself.
We were not sure whether to put the supporting players in the best or worst category because they were very funny, but they also seemed like bumbling fools. Nikki and Victoria were pretty much useless. Chance and Nick were bumbling detectives. Between the four of them, it’s amazing anyone is still alive.
Wait, we have another story this week? Yes, by Friday, Billy showed up again and proved he was as foolish as ever. Just another day in Genoa City.
Don’t forget to watch new episodes of The Young and the Restless each weekday on CBS and weeknight on Paramount +.
