The Young and the Restless brought the drama the week of January 6-10. Some moments were hits, some were misses, and we have the rundown on what worked and what didn’t in Genoa City this past week.
Best of Y&R
Cameron Kirsten is back, at least in Sharon’s mind. She is stuck in a prison of Aunt Jordan’s making and losing her mind again. Sharon’s life has gone from bad to worse over the last six months and Sharon Case is giving one of her greatest performances. After seeing Sharon on the back burner for so long when in 2023 and early 2024, we are so happy she is at the forefront again.
The Great Victor Newman never backs down and this week was no exception. He put Ian Ward on notice, which was satisfying enough. However, seeing Nikki’s totally Nikki reaction to finding Jordan in her living room was classic soap that we didn’t want to miss.
Ian and Jordan continue to be an absolute delight. Every week, they give us more nuggets that keep us laughing. Poor Ian is so upset that what they did to Sharon didn’t even cause a blip in the news.
Worst of Y&R
Why is Chelsea giving Billy advice, even if it’s good advice? There was never anything compelling about Chelsea and Billy. Being that she is the one who cheated on him, it just seems odd that she is the one trying to reign him in.
Why is Nate lying to his brother? How hard is it to tell a guy that his mother is dying and he needs to see her right away before it’s too late? We don’t blame Damian for being suspicious.
Last week Phyllis proclaimed that she was moving on. She realized Sharon wasn’t the one who ran her off the road and seemed to have a moment of introspection. Sadly, that moment was fleeting as Phyllis once again ranted and raved about the horrors of Sharon the moment she heard that Sharon was missing.
