The Young and the Restless’ Claire is proving she is more clever than anyone has given her credit for over the last year. Since revealing herself as the kidnapped daughter of Victoria Newman, she’s been treated as a delicate flower who can’t take care of herself, but she is now proving otherwise.
Which Claire Is An Act?
As soon as Claire (Hayley Erin) began talking to Jordan (Colleen Zenk), her instincts kicked in and she told Jordan everything she knew her crazy aunt wanted to hear. Jordan now feels she raised Claire well and all her hard work has paid off. By the end of the episode, Claire had Jordan eating out of the palm of her hand.
She also entered into an embrace with Jordan and that’s where the audience began asking questions. The look on Claire’s face said there was something more going on here than met the eye, but is that more the same thing Claire then told her family?
Can Claire Really Kill Jordan?
Did Claire also tell Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) everything she thought they wanted to hear? Sometimes she seems to mold herself like a chameleon, being whatever someone wants her to be at any given moment — just like she is with Kyle (Michael Mealor).
Is Claire really on the Newmans’ side, Jordan’s side — or Claire’s side? Claire has convinced Nikki and Victoria that she wants to kill Jordan and has them ready to join in on her plot. Is it a trick to trap Nikki and Victoria or does Claire really want the woman who raised her dead?
If Claire really is ready to kill her Aunt Jordan, it could solidify her as a true member of the Newman clan. But, if she is playing both sides of the coin, she will have to watch her back with Grandpa Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) forever…
The Young and the Restless will be pre-empted on Monday for coverage of the Presidential Inauguration.
