General Hospital did the unthinkable and broke up Molly and TJ, a couple that had been together since their high school years.
Molly’s Single Life
Molly barely knows how to be single and certainly isn’t experienced in the dating world considering how young she was when she met TJ. They fell in love in high school, moved in together in college, and became domestic partners when they started their careers as adults. However, their ill-fated attempt to become parents doomed them.
Their grief over losing Irene last summer combined with TJ’s desire to have another baby when Molly doesn’t want one broke them up, which means Molly needs a new man. We thought she might end up with Dex but then he died. She even had a few cute scenes with Isaiah, who just had some cute scenes with her sister, so that’s out, but what about Cody?
Two Singles Ready To Mingle?
After learning he was in love with his cousin, Cody is suddenly single again too. Cody hasn’t been handling his breakup with Sasha well and has landed himself behind bars more than once. He met Assistant District Attorney Molly during his last stint in PC lockup. Molly and Cody have shared multiple scenes since, which makes us think GH is playing around with pairing them.
“There’s definitely an exploration going on there,” Vaganos told Women’s World. “They’re polar opposites. Molly’s so laced up and high strung and Cody’s this fun, reckless, goofy guy. There’s something innately interesting in that, so we’ll see what happens there.”
She also acknowledges that Molly has a lot to learn as a single woman, so maybe she should just enjoy that status for now.
“It’s crazy… but how interesting is it going to be to see these two characters who’ve been together forever have to navigate not having each other?” she asked. “Now they’re both single again, which they’ve never really experienced as adults. What’s that gonna look like?”
Perhaps, it will look like the Quartermaine stable hand.
