On the Friday, January 31, 2025, episode of General Hospital, Cody jumped to the wrong conclusions and refused to mind his own business.
Cody Screws Up Again
Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) stopped by the stables to see Cody (Josh Kelly) and talk about their summer at camp and her romance with Dante (Dominic Zamprogna). Cody already knew she had gotten pregnant because she apparently confided in him before heading back to Bensonhurst. Cody swore he never told Dante about the pregnancy because Brook Lynn had sworn him to secrecy.
Brook Lynn explained she was only asking because her quest to have a baby with Chase (Josh Swickard) made her think about it more. Brook Lynn thought it was weird when Cody started talking about fathers taking responsibility for their mistakes before he ran out of the stables. Brook Lynn was left bewildered.
Cody turned up at Anna’s (Finola Hughes) office looking for a way to contact Robert (Tristan Rogers). Anna said she could get a hold of Robert if needed. Cody told her this was about Sasha (Sofia Mattsson). She was in trouble and it was all Jason Morgan’s fault. Anna became alarmed and coerced the “truth” out of Cody. He blurted out that Sasha was pregnant and Jason (Steve Burton) was the father. Anna was absolutely stunned.
Dante’s Heartache
Before Cody arrived, Anna had to deal with poor Dante. He was furious that she was shutting him out of the investigation into Sam’s (Kelly Monaco) murder. Anna explained that he was too closely involved and could ruin a trial due to a conflict of interest. She even ordered Dante to take a week of leave without pay and to seek therapy.
Dante ran straight to the stables looking for Cody to vent. Instead, he found Brook Lynn and vented to her. Brook Lynn promised to be a supportive friend to Dante as he admitted that he blamed himself for Sam’s death. Brook Lynn took Dante in her arms for a hug just as Lulu (Alexa Havins) walked in.
Before Lulu got there, she had coffee with Laura (Genie Francis) and admitted that she was still in love with Dante but didn’t want to tell him because he was still grieving Sam. Lulu also blamed herself for Sam’s death because she wouldn’t have been in that hospital bed if it wasn’t for her.
Drew Is Losing It
Jordan (Tanisha Harper) found Drew (Cameron Mathison) at the boxing gym and questioned him about why Congress was holding up work on the McConkey Esplanade. Drew angrily explained that he was protecting what was his and if Curtis cooperated, he would make sure Congress approved the work. Jordan was horrified by Drew’s new attitude.
At the Metro Court, Curtis (Donnell Turner) told Portia (Brook Kerr) all about a vacation he wanted to take to scout a location for Aurora’s new resort division. Jordan called and interrupted them. She wanted Drew to meet her at the boxing gym.
When Curtis got there, Drew told him that the government hold-up was over environmental issues and asked Curtis to fight things out in the ring. Curtis refused and left. Jordan was disgusted with Drew and let him know it in no uncertain terms. All Drew could do was whine about how Monica barred him from the Quartermaine grounds.
Avery’s Custody
Ava (Maura West) was surprised when Ric (Rick Hearst) told her he still expected to be paid for his work on Avery’s custody case. Ava thought since they kissed that Ric would work for free. Ava decided she would withhold more kisses until she won her case.
Ric and Ava made it over to Diane’s (Carolyn Hennesy) office to give Sonny (Maurice Benard) an offer. Ava would be willing to allow weekend visits if Sonny just dropped the case. Sonny refused, but Ric could tell something was wrong with his brother. Sonny didn’t look well but vowed to fight. Ric later told Ava that Sonny didn’t seem to want to see this case through.
Kai’s Troubles
Trina (Tabyana Ali) dropped by as Kai (Jens Austin Astrup) prepared to leave the hospital. Since his arm was in a sling, Trina helped him with his back support brace and they shared a close moment. When Trina brought up returning to school and finding a new major, Kai lost it. He said he didn’t even know if he planned to return to school.
